Management of the process and approach to the surgical waiting list at the Essalud Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo hospital – Chiclayo

The objective was to determine the relationship between the management of the process and the approach to the surgical waiting list in an EsSalud hospital in Chiclayo. For this, a quantitative study was developed, with a cross-sectional correlation scope, with the survey technique and with two instruments, one with 12 questions and the second with 10 questions aimed at professionals and administrators, which amounted to a total of 30. Pearson's correlation test. The results showed inadequate levels of management by processes (66.7%) and for approaching the surgical waiting list (56.7%). Concluding that there is a high relationship between the management of the surgical programming process and the approach to the waiting list at the EsSalud- Chiclayo hospital (r2=.797; p=.000), in addition, the coefficient of determination establishes that the management of This process explains the surgical waiting list in 63.5% and 26.5% is due to other factors.
